Swim School
Lessons on Your Schedule:
The 10th Ave Athletic Club, in conjunction w/ Barefoot Consulting, offers swim classes for adults & children in a format designed to accommodate our members and guests personal schedules. While the school does offer ongoing group classes (see current swim groups), all class scheduling is based on the needs of our swimmers. In most cases swimmers are evaluated, in a given month, for classes that will begin the following month. Based on their evaluation and desired class time swimmers are either placed in an on going group or a new swim group is created w/ swimmers of the same level and similar scheduling needs.
Have a group of two or more swimmers? We would love to create a class for you. Let us know when you would like to swim & we will do our best to schedule an instructor to meet your needs. Call or email Aquatic Manager Stewart Carter to schedule your class or set up an evaluation session.
Teaching Philosophy:
The 10th Avenue AC Swim School formula for successful swimmers is simple: small class sizes and highly experienced instructors, working in a safe supportive environment builds secure confident swimmers faster than any other method.
For adults and children learning to swim can be a pretty intimidating experience. We believe that students learn best when they are gently challenged by a seasoned instructor, with whom they have formed a trusting relationship. All 10th Avenue AC Swim School instructors are aquatic professionals, most with more than ten years of experience creating effective learning environments for students of all types.
