Fitness Orientation
When a new member joins 10th Avenue Athletic Club, we feel it is very important to help you get started on the right track from the very beginning. That's why every new member receives two complimentary training sessions as a part of his or her membership. We encourage all new members to take part in these sessions.
Group Equipment Orientation:
Group equipment orientations are offered at set times throughout the week, both during the day and in the evening. Group equipment orientations are kept small so that each client gets the help they need. The orientation begins with filling out a basic health form. After the health forms have been discussed, the small group will be instructed how to use 2-3 pieces of cardiovascular equipment and 8-10 strength training machines. This session is the perfect way to start your experience at the health club to insure you are operating the machines safely and effectively.
Complimentary Individual Session:
Complimentary individual sessions are scheduled throughout the week based on your schedule. This session begins with a review of the Client Information Questionnaire. This questionnaire helps us learn more about you and your health, exercise background, and lifestyle. Individual health issues, and goal setting will also be discussed. We'll also create your Weekly Workout Structure, and complete an initial fitness assessment. Lastly we will show you some exercises just for you based on your goals and ability. Please wear exercise clothing, and closed toe athletic shoes to this appointment.
